If you are tired of pushing and pulling the sliding screen door across the track then it might be time for a total replacement. In Thousand Oaks I do hundreds of jobs a year and most of my work is fixing patio screens. When we replace the, they are custom made onsite. We measure and make them on the spot for the proper fit.
I can’t teel you how many customers tried to do their own measuring and door screen shopping just to end up with a cheap new, no good for nothing door just sitting on the side of the house because it did not fir right or slide. Did you know that the patio screen area door is the most used in a house. We offer great screens and we come to you!
The way to get the best results when installing a patio screen door is to first make sure you measure right, don’t get a sliding screen door that is too big or too small. Next on the list is to vacuum and clean the track, make sure there is no dirt gravel or rocks on there because you will have problems with the screen rollers sliding properly. Make sure each individual roller is lubed as-well.
After you cleaned the track, lubricate both top and bottom. Now you are ready to install the screen. The tools needed are a phillips screw driver and a flat head screw driver. Grab the screen and put it in on top first then push the bottom in making sure the rollers are centered on the track. All screen doors have four adjustment screw holes to get the door straight, make sure you use them to balance the door.
